1999/2000 Video Installation, Berlin Alexanderplatz U2 Subway, NGBK Berlin For the duration of one year, the video installation "Exit Loop" was shown at the station of the U2 subway line at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. The advertising spaces at the subway station were taken down for this, so that the brown wooden paneling behind them became visible. On five of the advertising spaces, five video films were projected. These were synchronized in order to create the panorama of an indoor riding arena. In a loop, a horse was moving through the indoor riding hall, once walking slowly, other times at a gallop, sometimes it stood still or disappeared in the background. Then it appeared grazing at another place. For security reasons the pictures were switched off upon the arrival of the train, to be turned on again after departure. Video
